Shedding light on human trafficking

This blog post is a fairly serious content and serious tone. Just wanted to throw out that disclaimer.

So my heart has been burdening for the men and women who are forcied against their willpower to fulfill the role as degrading and inferior sex objects for a duration of a time and usually it’s the girl who makes this as a job is fulfilling as a career title; hence the term "prostitute" . There are male prostitutes too. We, as humans, know vaguely of this existence of women or even young women to be forced into the sex trafficking but media such as CNN and the radio won't cover (in the showcasing context), I fully wasn't aware that this existed until I was 18 years old. Crazy, I know. The origin as coercion into sex trafficking goes all the way back 1400s-1600s with European slave trading. Human trafficking according to sharedhope.org is defined as "The recruitment, harboring, transportation, provision, or obtaining of a person for labor or services, through the use of force, fraud, or coercion for the purpose of subjection to involuntary servitude, peonage, debt bondage, or slavery.”

It seems like as its repulsive on the women’s part to pursue the prostitutes as a career path but one needs to imagine oneself being in the women (and yes men too) shoes and illustrate the circumstances: The women is stealed away from her family and in other words her comfort and to perform sex acts in exchange for money and it IS UNPROTECTED SEX and then after making money and living inside of brothel wakes up and the women’s innate reaction is to do this all over again with multiple men. If the governing apparatus of the frail women from the brutality of lifestyle becomes “its just me possibility getting my finances with one night and therefore I have a purpose in life now” it can immediately be shattered. In this nonfiction book called Prostitution in the Digital Age The johns-men wanting to exchange love with prostitutes if they want to be illusion that they have a girlfriend, the johns  request for GFE-girlfriend experience , and soon they can be with that women who just wanted to have a one night stand for as long as 30 days. This will take a spin on the men’s business arrangement with women with the illusion that it isn’t a “business arrangement”. And this is not limited to 20 year olds and middle aged adults, but happening illegally with children that are under the age of eighteen.

Another situation of the women being lured into this dirty business through pimps-people into making prostitutes, by drugging them and then assigning them men where they will exchange sex for financial compensation. These shrewd treatment of these unwilling participants just like the above situation will be stationed in brothels, women and men brothels.  Countries that are in this category are according to Secretary of State tier 2 comprised of those characteristics; countries such as Pakistan and Jamaica.

A third situation where only women, if not mostly women head in the career of a prostitute is the promises of citizenship but with the usual “compromise of oweing a certain period of time to do indentured servitude”  (USEmbassy state). Particularly in Papua New Guinea, women are guaranteed of freedom with lure of the idea and actually getting issued a business visa. If it’s not “a business visa she is issued a tourist visa” (UseEmbassy state) and when they arrive they are stationed at this shelter and then after the very young women and tribal descent, they are transported out of their family tribe and into the prostitute business-serving as a hostess, bartender and more by this drink mosko which is alcoholic drink that lures them into the human trafficking industry Hence the word mosko girls. Tribal leaders who exchange women for compromise end up desiring political power and domination there in exchange of their own people and even small children will get guns and political advantage. If its is an ordinary girl they get illusioned to arrive at a shelter to earn their indentured servitude and to go straight into human trafficking. Boys, teenage boys, and men  end up in an unstable indentured servitude-where their superior –pimps- constantly alter the inflation prices so that the amount of money to give to the males are less than the actual value. Women who end up IN Papua New Guinea’s arranged marriages end up being treated like a prostitute, fulfilling the sexual acts in exchange of making a name and prominence with her association with her “husband”. The husband will also see to it that  she gets raped as she does sexual acts to the extended family of the husband known as “domestic acts (USEmbassy state).

Just as our own personal struggles are real, human trafficking is real. There have been steps take and continue to take that the government does in the format of intervention that put certain authorities such as police to suffer detrimental consequences if they don’t act on behalf of the women and men victim. The understanding that the government all over the world regardless if it is tier I or tier III is constantly a work in progress.
