Peter:
Hey dude:
I wanted to bring up the wonderful person that you are. Ali's support group is like a wonderful painted canvas and that's because you comprised of the one of small of many fragmented parts when put together with similar small fragmented parts creates this particular canvas. Thanks. On that dialogue of yours I strongly disagree with you. The truth is that we need Jesus-everyday. In fact heed this truth: "Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me. And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." (Matthew 9:37-39). God is love and God should be our life. In terms of Jesus I've been there and done there....treasuring and desperate for God's love. I also betrayed Jesus by denying him three times. Just simply look at 1 Peter and 2 Peter books in the bible to see my utmost profession in my faith in Jesus. Hey man I am taking this to heart and I hope you strive to take this in your heart. Later dude.
Rehoboam: You little w****r s****. What were you thinking when you said that Ali was desperate? Okay well then who is the desperate one when there was openings in the amusement park the carnival and I arrived but was limited to ride that fun-looking ferris wheel because I fell under the height limit to ride on this ride on the carnival? Who was the one who stuffed their sneakers with paper towels so they can ride on the ferris wheel?….ME! Now that I established my credibility by my hobbies and news flash-I'm a king ; I know how it feels to be expected to be who you’re not (someone stereotyped as a prude because lack of following the ways of the world)…my dad was the amazing “King Solomon” . King Solomon is so known for his superb wisdom that even the queen of Sheba visits Solomon. I was the awful king who told Jeroboam's faithful followers when they tried to give me unsolicited advice and told them that "My father scourged you with whips, I will scourge you with SCORPIONS." Man just like I was talking to the descendants of Israelistes family in Edom (the Edom ancestors did evil in God's sight.) I am telling you that you need to see God for who he is: someone who doesn't need the human race to function which leaves us to what God wants to do, LOVE US. So how could we not do the same and return the love even if the cost meant laying down our lives? The word says "But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness" (1 John 1:9). If it is a huge suffering or storm that you are going in life, please try not to understand why because it will offset this pattern of confusion and offer rebuttal to our Creator. Sometimes the storms and trials that we are going in this life are incomprehensible in the now, but its for a reason and its to help us become more like God; it may not make sense but that is why we look towards heaven. If God is for us, who could be against us? *Starts to initiate handshake with my guy friend, but starts to feel so businesslike that Rehoboam transitions into a bro-hug*
Paul: Hi friend. Yes I callled you friend, any friend of a saint in Christ is my friend as well. I think my brothers in Christ, above were breathing in your neck as they were saying this truth which could be costly, because what if you just were joking and you made nothing much of it and you never were really rejecting God. Maybe you really weren't ever betrayed or had deep seated root of hurt in the first place. Nevertheless there was nothing harmful when my brothers above were by speaking truth to you deliberately. A verse (total of two that God's placed in my heart) that Jesus has been knocking on the door lately is from the book of John "The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him" (John 8:29) Wow! Isn't that amazing how being a disciple follower type of Jesus can be exciting? This verse is really good to go to when you feel like you've reached a plateau during your spiritual journey. The second verse that the Lord has been laying in my heart is this-"Jesus replied, 'If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. My father, whom you claim is your God, is the one who glorifies me" (John 8:54)When its was before I came to know Christ, I was Saul and I mocked Jesus for real as I was for and supporter of the rulers/people in charge stoning people, the person I was before you would not recognize with the current Paul you met and know. What my heart was hardened, I did not welcome Jesus in my life until I had a personal encounter with Jesus-which was radical by the way. It was then that I was saved. I hope if you take nothing from your encounter I hope you remember of Jesus's testimony and the two/ three verses I shared with you. God bless you.
There you have it, a modern day type conversation important figures in the bible would have with my friend. Spoof-version.
